Lucks, Schlichting and Marien are the miniature version of a brass band: their compact size transcends the rough, exuberant sound you'd expect from a much larger ensemble. They juggle alternating roles between rhythm and melody, free jazz, funk, punk rock and New Orleans brass band. Their music is a mix of improvisational swing and perfectly interlocking grooves, and in 2023, Insomnia Brass Baad was named Band of the Year.
